Replicel's PR people/legal team may have its hands full with having to release the quarterly report as well the results of phase I, not to mention putting together a last minute retraction statement after the above headline ran, so this might be an explanation as to why it came at 7:30 p.m. friday night (which is 4:30 p.m. in Vancouver). Perhaps the prior ads, although still hype, may have been able to fly, but after the above headline ran, somebody may have just figured they had no choice but to retract everything that even remotely seemed like hyped. If REPCL has a corp. legal team that recommended the "awareness" campaign, they may have feared they'd be breaching their responsibility to their client if they didn't recommend a general retraction following that headline, which could mean liability for the legal team if REPCL got sued (as was suggested in another post). This is speculation on my part, but at least backed up with some semblance of logic, unlike some other conclusions of definite failure based on reading what appears to be a legally required disclaimer under the circumstances. Sorry for overstating the obvious, but phase I results are days away; the cure would still be years away even if phase I was successful. This is what is so misleading about this ad. 	Regardless of success or failure, Replicel already made its first mistake by getting entangled with the pump & dump stock pumping crowd. The amount of public relations damage these monkeys can cause a company is high. Replicel's marketing department should have more sense to stay away from all these fly-by-night stock pumpers who don't give f&kc about what they have or don't have. Stick to giving non-paid interviews to those genuinely interested in hair loss issues and putting clips/updates on youtube. I agree. You're right here. And the problem is that many guys were practically completely unable to act accordingly. I want reputations ruined over this. The plan all makes sense now, these companies NEVER care about retail shareholders. What this allowed them to do is pump up the price and create a cushion for them. The technology is likely to fail or provide underwhelming results. But the patent might still be worth something. So assign the patent to the company, take the company public, do a ruse of a trial with a nice front man to attract retail money to pump up the price, and then sell the company (patent) to big pharma or ARI/Follica/Histogen/whoever. This way, the founders (the only people the company cares about, not us retail shareholder schlubs), who got their shares for nothing, interests are maximized. Lets say the share price was still at $1.70, like it was before the pumping started. When the trial fails, the share price might drop to $0.30. But if they pump the stock price up to $2.70, maybe the share price only drops to $0.70 or something when the trial fails. The retail shlubs who bought in at $2.00/share are screwed, but who cares about them? However that would also make it insider trading - illegal. So I don't think those shares were sold to insiders. Who PAID >$300000 for hyping like crazy to get investors who BUY shares? Who BOUGHT all these shares? To me it looks that some one thought that if they can SELL most of their shares as soon as each share-worth/price has at least reached +30% or +50% (the average gain is what counts finally) or maybe even more or so (the more they hype the better) = still a nice and quick profit and whatever happens thereafter - especially if some one in general held most shares and could SELL most shares - not sold to insiders. The intention was to get nice fresh money as much as possible into the pot from the mass. But the method they used to accomplish this - is illegally as well.
