Wesley Sneijder was diagnosed with ANAEMIA just 1 month before going to dr. Gho. (Hair Multiplication & Stem Cells Treatment)

It seems that Wesley Sneijder had ANAEMIA.

On 06 Nov 2010, Just 1 month before going to dr. Gho, Sneijder fainted in the dressing room, in the middle of a football match, and was diagnosed with ANAEMIA. He had Iron Deficiency Anaemia. One of the symptoms of Iron deficiency is DIFFUSE THINNING AND LIGHTER HAIR COLOUR!!

The Spoiler

Dutchman feels ‘exhausted’ after past year

UEFA Midfielder of the Year Wesley Sneijder has been diagnosed with anaemia after passing out at half-time during Inter’s game with Brescia on Saturday.

After a year which has included reaching the World Cup final, driving Inter to a treble under Jose Mourinho and getting married to fiance Yolanthe Cabau, the 26-year-old reckons he’s running on empty.

Sneijder told De Telegraaf:

I started to shake and felt pain in my entire body. In the changing room I got sick and passed out briefly.

My heart and blood pressure were checked immediately. Later I traveled to the Netherlands for a second opinion. The conclusion was that I have anaemia and my whole body is exhausted.

Sufferers of anaemia, a blood disorder linked to iron deficiency, can be plagued by bouts of fatigue, shortness of breath and muscle weakness.

Sneijder was missing from Inter’s squad as the Milan club ground out a 1-1 draw with Lecce last night.

Iron Deficiency

The most common form of anaemia is iron deficiency anaemia. Women are particularly susceptible to iron deficiency due to the regular loss of iron rich blood during menstruation. Iron deficiency is believed to be a relatively common precursor to female hair loss, in fact, 72% of women with diffuse hair loss have an iron deficiency.

Symptoms:
Rapid hair loss, weight loss, pale appearance, spoon shaped nails, depression, change of hair colour to a lighter shade, excessive dryness of hair

Causes:
Vitamin C deficiency can lead to an iron deficiency, excessive amounts of caffeine can reduce the amount of iron supplied through food, alcohol abuse also reduces the availability of iron in the body.

Sources:
Rice, bread, broccoli and beans but it is also important to get plenty of Vitamin C which is required for good absorption.

of course not.
What I mean is that doctors started to treat Sneijder's anaemia just around the same time that he got the HST transplant by dr. Gho.
So it is logical to think that Wesley's hair started to improve due to both treatments:
-The HST transplant, 1700 grafts
-and the anaemia treatment.

This could explain why some people (basically Stevie.Dee) perceived that Wesley Sneijder had an unusual improvement after only 1700 grafts.
Treating the anaemia probably has produced an overall improvement in all of his hair (gain in colour and calliper), not just in the transplanted area.

It is true that Wesley Sneijder has had an overall improvement, not only his hair but also his face looks healthier now.

Also, a user in haarweb (Lucky) says that Sneijder is using Toppik concealer to make his hair thicker.

Anaemia added to his MPB, weakening the hairs all over his head.
In any case, even if the anaemia didn't happen, there is no sign of hairmultiplication. Just signs of a 1700 grafts transplant.

I'm new here but I have read that it takes almost a year to recover from
hair loss that's related to diet or vitamin deficiency. Does that fit in with Wesley Sneijder's
time line of improvement.

Wesley Sneijder was diagnosed with ANAEMIA just 1 month before going to dr. Gho.

He was diagnosed in 06-Nov-2010, and (I assume) immediately treated.
Considering that he wears his hair very short, I think the improvement will be noticed much quicker. In women, with long hair, time is necessary for the healthy hair to reach the final lenght. 10 cm takes 10 months.

http://www.mdguidelines.com/iron-deficiency-anemia
>>>>
Uncomplicated iron deficiency anemia is easily treated with oral iron supplements. Normalization of the red blood cell count is seen in around 6 weeks. Correction of iron deficiency anemia due to a serious underlying problem, such as gastrointestinal bleeding or tumor, is more difficult and depends on successful treatment of the underlying problem.
<<<<

So, if in 6 weeks the iron levels are restored, I assume hair production will then start to improve then.

@ Iron_Man

Wesley Sneijder was diagnosed with ANAEMIA just 1 month before going to dr. Gho.

What I claim is that there is nothing that looks like hair multiplication.

Facts:
-He had 1700 grafts transplant. Around 15-december 2010.
-He treated his anaemia since 6-Nov 2010, and iron levels restored 6 weeks later, around 15-Dec-2010, what a coincidence.

Speculation:
-He probably started using Minoxidil because it is included in the Gho-kit that Gho gives to patients (at least he gave to scissorboy).
-Maybe he is using Toppik, I don't know, maybe he used toppik before? I don't know.

So, recovery from anaemia takes months, and transplanted grafts usually require months too (some of them keep growing from day one, but the final result can take 6 months or more). So, both effects run in parallel.
It is logical to expect improvement during the first year post op, due to the transplant, and due to the improved iron levels.

But even if the anaemia treatment had no effect on his hair, we would still have a 1700 grafts hair transplant. No hair multiplication.

Sure, Gho offered Sneijder immediatelly and without any delay (Sneijder could skip Gho's long waiting list) a HST procedure - to profit from Sneijder's anaemia treatment. Sure.

btw - the following is a snippet from the book which I posted recently:
---------------------------------------------------------------
There have been numerous causes blamed for pattern hair loss, including “hot blood,” excessive blood circulation in the scalp, inadequate blood circulation in the scalp, wearing hats, brushing the hair too much, brushing too little, dirty scalps, oily scalps, hormones in scalp oil, dandruff, various diseases, excessively tight scalps, inadequate oxygen reaching the hair follicles, inadequate nutrition or nutritional deficiencies, “sleeping” hair follicles, and hairs “stuck” in the hair follicles, to name just some of the “hair loss causes” offered by scientists and charlatans [like Spanish Dud] over the years. Chapter 5, “Hair Loss Treatment History,” presents a sample of the hundreds of “remedies” that over the years have been offered to those suffering from hair loss. Most of these “cures” are based on “hair loss causes” that simply are not true.

Look, Stevie.Dee said that Wesley.Sneijder's transplant looked fantastic for only 1700 grafts, and somehow, this was proof of hair multiplication.
And I say, this is absurd, because 1700 grafts are 1700 grafts. For the proof of hair multiplication we must look at the donor, not at the result of the recipient site. So, if the recipient site looks "fantastic for only 1700 grafts" (which is also debatable), then this would be due to "something else", not the 1700 grafts.

SOMETHING ELSE: possibilities:
-The anaemia treatment
-or Toppik
-Or Minoxidil (Scissorboy got Minoxidil in the post-op kit, and he didn't even have seen it before)
-Or whatever.

So, thats what I meant: even if the anaemia had no effect, and even if the recipient site looked "fantastic for only 1700 grafts" (which is debatable), we still would't have proof of donor regeneration and HM.

Still, I think the anaemia correction had to have some kind of benefit for his hair, but I don't know how much of course.

From Sneijder specifically ? I agree, we do not have proof of regeneration.

If I was a sc@mmer would I do what Dr Gho is doing and work on high profile guys like Wesley Sneijder & gerard Joling who cut their hair short ? No chance - I would be looking to perpetuate the sc@m as long as possible so I would avoid such people - but that is circumstantial evidence at best, no more than that.

what is the problem with them cutting their hair short? that the donor is more exposed for inspection? Yes that is true.
Well, in the case of Joling, he usually wears long hair except when he got HST (twice).
In the case of WS, yes, he always wears very short hair.

Spanish Dude, good point but unfortunately handling Anaemia wont bring you back any hairs :-| if it would be that simple we would all say halleluja.

The only thing which i could think of would be a better looking hair texture overall but thats it.

I have also an iron deficy (being tired a lot and looking pale) when i started to get my iron tabs, my hair and nail texture looked better, but this was after 6 and a half month, its not that fast.

Wesley Sneijder was diagnosed with ANAEMIA just 1 month before going to dr. Gho.

Thanks for the input. Its interesting because you are a man with alopecia, so your experience is comparable to Sneijder's.

So, what you are saying is that, after restoring iron levels:
-no new hairs (the balding pattern remains).
-but hairs and nails grow stronger at 6.5 months.

Are you sure that improvement starts at 6.5 months? I mean, nails grow at only 3mm per month. This means that you need 4-6 months to fully renew your nail. Also, if you have long hair, maybe you wouldn't notice the improvement at the beginning even though hair was already being produced stronger.

Well, assuming 6 months, as Sneijder was treated Nov6,2010, this would mean improvement at April 6th 2011.
It is difficult to evaluate Sneijder's photos because appearance varies wildly depending on lighting. In some photos, hairs look black and strong, but in others hairs look blonde and very fine.

But if improvement takes 6 months, why did Gho treat Sneijder so fast (1.5 months after the anaemia diagnosis)? wouldn't it be wiser to wait until hairs are settled and stronger and then make the transplant?

» Spanish Dude, good point but unfortunately handling Anaemia wont bring you
» back any hairs :-| if it would be that simple we would all say halleluja.
»
» The only thing which i could think of would be a better looking hair
» texture overall but thats it.
»
» I have also an iron deficy (being tired a lot and looking pale) when i
» started to get my iron tabs, my hair and nail texture looked better, but
» this was after 6 and a half month, its not that fast.

Wesley Sneijder was diagnosed with ANAEMIA just 1 month before going to dr. Gho.

» Thanks for the input. Its interesting because you are a man with alopecia,
» so your experience is comparable to Sneijder's.
»
» So, what you are saying is that, after restoring iron levels:
» -no new hairs (the balding pattern remains).
» -but hairs and nails grow stronger at 6.5 months.
»
» Are you sure that improvement starts at 6.5 months? I mean, nails grow at
» only 3mm per month. This means that you need 4-6 months to fully renew your
» nail. Also, if you have long hair, maybe you wouldn't notice the
» improvement at the beginning even though hair was already being produced
» stronger.

I only talk about hair feeling healthier and looking fresher then before. The nails look more like nails, which means the have a shine to them instead of just looking foggy. Hard to explain but i think people will know what i mean.

No they dont grow stronger but they look more healthier, also my head wa less greasy, but its nothing i would swear on.

Hmmm i am dead sure because i had to keep track of it, being tired was gone after around one to two months.

I doubt that a high class sports guy with Anamia under stress would sooner restore this deficy. Thats highly unlikely

Wesley Sneijder was diagnosed with ANAEMIA just 1 month before going to dr. Gho.

did you see "a transition zone" in your nails? I mean, from foggy to shiny. As nails take 4 months or more to grow completely, you had to see "the old nail" vs "the new nail".

so the transition in the nail occurred at 6.5 months?
I mean, at 6.5 months the new stuff started to appear at the nail's root?

» Iron Deficiency
»
» The most common form of anaemia is iron deficiency anaemia. Women
» are particularly susceptible to iron deficiency due to the regular loss of
» iron rich blood during menstruation. Iron deficiency is believed to be a
» relatively common precursor to female hair loss, in fact, 72% of women with
» diffuse hair loss have an iron deficiency.

»
» Symptoms:
» Rapid hair loss, weight loss, pale appearance, spoon shaped nails,
» depression, change of hair colour to a lighter shade, excessive dryness
» of hair

»
» Causes:
» Vitamin C deficiency can lead to an iron deficiency, excessive amounts of
» caffeine can reduce the amount of iron supplied through food, alcohol abuse
» also reduces the availability of iron in the body.
»
» Sources:
» Rice, bread, broccoli and beans but it is also important to get plenty of
» Vitamin C which is required for good absorption.
