I side with those who say that simply applying/injecting WNT or lithium isn't gonna do it.

But IMHO Histogen's results are too decent to ignore. Whatever they were up to in that preliminary trial, it seemed to work. Even if it's just a one-time unrepeatable growth the principle still throws a monkey wrench into our ideas.

And the fact is, Follica and Histogen are both carrying on spending money & doing trials like they are onto something. Their actions can be picked apart and questioned individually but I think the larger picture suggests they are onto something. Or at least they believe they are.
