Dear Doctor,

I am 26 years old. My crown and top seem to be pretty stable-nice and thick when dry, while my temples have thinned yet my front bangs remain dense. My right temple has always the worse been since I began MPB. I've always had fine hair, which has made the problem worse.
I don't foresee top or crown receding too much in the next 20 or so years...

GOALS

I hope my goals are practical, I don't expect or need a new/lowered
hairline-just a fill to the existing thinning hair.

Some questions I have:

1.) Am I a good candidate for hair transplant?

2) Will 1000-1500 grafts be sufficient for me?

3) Which method is better suited for me, FUE or STRIP, and why?

4.) How long in advance must a surgery be booked, and can I become
eligible for travel reimbursement? I would like to book in early June,
are there times open?

5) Are there any disadvantages to having the procedure done now instead of waiting a couple years more?

6) Do I need to worry about shock loss ?

7) What if I lose more of my own hair after the transplant? Will your grafts look unnatural?

How soon can I go out in the public without people knowing that I have hair transplant done?
