Halfpipetrick - Ready for 2nd HT...Feller, Cole, Armani or Hasson/Wong?
Here's my (brief) story:
I had a small strip procedure almost 10 years ago (300 grafts approx.) it left me with a nasty scar that is a little low - which might make it difficult to use again for another procedure (I've learned recently). I'm Leaning towards another strip procedure if I can get away with just one scar. Hopefully this is possible.
I'm 36 and at a NW 3 now. My temple points have flattened and are the most annoying part of my hair loss right now - it just looks odd. Ideally I'd like to close my temples and fill in the areas of diffuse thinning around my temple points. Might do an fue/strip combo to accomplish this.
Spoke to Shane at Dr. Armani's office - he was very knowledgable and said Dr. Armani suggested anywhere between 2000 to 2,500 grafts. He added too that because of my scar that Dr. Armani might only be able to get 1,500 grafts though and not to get my hopes up. He asked for an additional photo - sent him some and I have yet to hear back...
*Update - heard back from Shane today - he told me that Dr. Armani would do 2600 grafts (fuss) or 1000 FUE and a scar revision. He said it looks like my scar is not too low.
Had a good consultation with Dr. Cole's office. I am concerned though that he might be too conservative judging from what I've read/seen on the forums. I'd like a marked difference not a subtle improvement. Dr. Cole suggested 600 grafts to fill in my temple points.
I also sent a couple of email requests for a consultation with Dr. Feller (his work is very impressive too). It would be great to get his take - I'm actually leaning towards him based on what I've seen.
Talked to a couple of people at Hasson and Wong. i like their work however, the staples they use to close the incision site kind of freak me out.
Any thoughts, suggestions, advice??
Pics attached.
Thanks in advance.
