Dear Doctor,

I'm 23 years, boulichon on hairsite board.

I have scheduled for a hair transplant procedure on 9 april 2007 at the Transmed clinic in Istanbul, Turkey. The doctor is Emirali Hamiloglu.

It will be a STRIP procedure, I was recommended to have about 2800 grafts to recreate the frontal area, hairline and temples.

I do not take Propecia because I'm afraid of the side effects associated with this drug, such as impotence. I plan to use saw palmetto and minoxidil after the procedure to keep the hair stable.

GOALS

Recreate the frontal area, hairline and temples. I am hoping for about 40 grafts /cm2. I would like to get a 2nd opinion from another doctor before proceeding with this clinic in Turkey. I want to be sure I am making the right decision.

QUESTIONS

1. Am I a good candidate for hair transplant? Am I too young?

2. Is it true that STRIP would be a better option for me than FUE?

3. Are my goals realistic? How many grafts will I need to restore the frontal area, hairline and temples?

4. What do you think is a realistic option for me without having to spend a lot of money?

5. Can everything be done in one trip or do I have to schedule another trip to your clinic after the first procedure?

6. Can 2800 grafts give me a density of about 40 grafts per sq cm ? Is it realistic ?

7. What is your cost for STRIP and/or FUE?

8. Will my hair be able to cover the strip scar fairly well? What about this Triclosure donor technique? Is this something that I should consider when having a STRIP procedure?

9. What is the worst possible scenario for someone my age going through a STRIP or FUE procedure?
