Hairtastic - 2500 Strip with Dr. Bisanga - 7 months

Wednesday, October 3. 2007

I want to share my hair transplant experience with you;

I am 27 and have been thinning for about 4 years, it was not rapid loss, just steady with no real increases in shedding. My thinning was predominately in the frontal area, my hair line had moved back and my temple points had receded, the central area had not changed in density but there were signs of thinning on my crown; with my initial goal was to rebuild the hair line and crown.

I beleived I had done my research, but even then almost fell into a trap, thank god they were blatant when it came down to the money....up front and in cash or bank transfer only....enough to set the alarm bells ringing! A side issue...

I had 2500 grafts into the hairline and temple points, I wasn't looking to have a flat hair line, but also wanted to look like I used to! It was agreed the crown be left alone to see how it progressed, taking future loss into account. Strip procedure was used with Trocophytic closure, although a little red for a few months I was able to have my hair shaved to a grade 2 cut around the sides and back which was a nice suprise in light of my initial expectations.

I am at 7 months now, my growth so far has passed my initial expectations and I am told that I should be able to expect more! even if it is just maturing of the grown hair. I am happy I was talked out of touching the crown and would just like to say a big thankyou to Dr Bisanga for my new hair and some confidence back in my life.

Here are pictures of my progression, from before up to 7 months with wet pictures.
