Fueoptions - Beard donor area - 2 weeks later - Dr. Arvind

Saturday, December 9. 2006

Dr. Arvind posted the following comments along with some pictures, regarding my case.

"Fueoptions, had 800 + facial hair grafts extracted in Oct-Nov 2006.
Some details of the recent procedure can be read at the following link.

Fueoptions has limited robust body donor hair to be used and his scalp donor has been used up, before he visited our clinic, to a large extent. He had 120 facial hair grafts extracted 8 months earlier to assess the healing.

He recently sent us some pictures of the healing of those facial hair donor sites at completion of 2 weeks. The facial donor sites were the chin and the areas below the jawbones."

From the 120 planted 8 months ago is that most grew but they were mixed in with existing hair they are around twice the diameter of normal hair and i could definetly feel them...
I am keeping my hair under 1cm length so how it grows after that length is not an issue for me...for me it was the density and coverage these hairs give at least twice that of my scalp hair and at least 5 times the density of my body hair so 600 beard means 1200 head hairs or 3000 body hairs to me. when placed together with other types of hair the coverage is excellent and the area looks dense and strong...i had 10 put in a sq cm just above my temple in a thinning area as a test 8 months ago and it really looked dense, dark and as if i had dense packing in the area...the other 110 went in my crown...
I am 3 weeks out now and the 30% or so of beard hairs that have not dropped still give really good coverage in the area they have been placed
Once again i must stress i would not advocate the use of these hairs on virgin scalp or if you want to grow your hair long...they must be mixed around 1 beard to 3 or 4 head or 9 or 10 body hair.

Grow your beard to that length and that is almost certainly how it will grow on your head...the caracteristics are likely to be the same...of course 1 beard hair that is masked by 5/6/7/8 head hairs might not even be see no matter what the hair grows like!
some peoples beard hair grows straight some not so straight...this also applies to the density of the beard hair shaft and how many beard follicles are on someones face/neck. everybodys different...colour is also an issue in my beard i have ginger/brown/grey hairs!
