FUE Eyelash Hair Transplant With Nape Follicles – Results By Dr. Umar (Eyebrow & Eyelash Restoration)

Eyelash hair transplant surgery gives patients the ability to have longer lashes permanently. This ends up being a more practical and convenient option compared to the use of extensions, bimatoprost (prescription hair growth solution) and false eyelash strips. Dr. Umar performed Follicular Unit Extraction for this patient using nape hair.

In conventional eyelash transplantation, regular head hair is extracted and used as grafts.

However, these strands may not produce the most natural looking results since they are much thicker than actual lash hairs.

Dr. Umar has developed uGraft, Advanced Follicular Unit Extraction technology which enables him to safely remove other types of follicles from areas like the nape and body.

These punches also enable much higher wound healing standards. This is done through the creation of inverted shaped wound cavities. Any scarring that develops is cosmetically negligible. And patient’s don’t have to feel concerned about being left with visible marks.

For this patient, eyelash transplant grafts were removed from the nape and inserted into the upper lash line.

These hairs will continue to grow as they did on the back of the neck. Transferring follicles to a new area will not change the DNA coding within the hair follicle cells. Therefore patients will need to trim their new eyelashes to maintain the length they want. This patient chooses to do so about once a week. And to maintain an upward curl, she has her lashes permed around once a month.

She was extremely happy with the results of her procedure which was able to create the longer lashes that she had always wanted.
Here are before and after photos showing her outcome at three months and six months.

In this video, she discusses her experience in greater detail and emphasizes, “It’s your hair. You control it.” For many people, the surgical transplantation of eyelashes is almost equivalent to having the genes for long lashes.
