Yes, when I made the previous post, I knew from experience that thyme works but I did not know exactly why; now it seems that the mode of action is likely via cox-2 inhibition and, subsequently, pgd2.
The inhibitory compound is "carvacrol". Thyme of the type thymol carries some carvacrol, but oli of oregano is almost entirely carvacrol..
