strange and severe fallout (Topicals & Shampoos)

posted by Frank, 26.09.2012, 22:17

» » sounds like psoriasis or Sebopsoriasis but only an examination will
» tell.
» » If it is then it will recover with treatment. In fact apart from MPB
» "most"
» » acquired conditions are reversible.
» i'm 43 and started using minoxidol about two years ago and about 4 months
» ago i started to develop heavy crust around the application area, it didn't
» hurt, but it would not go away. Also have been noticing heavy fallout of
» hair all around my scalp. I started to put olive oil to loosen the crust
» which is working, but chunk of hair are also coming out. Very similar to
» you guys and along the same time line ( a few few months on) very scary for
» me now. I live in toronto Canada. Any help from you guys !!!!

As Marco posted it sounds like seborrea dermatitis. I've read that a new prescribtion shampoo containing cicloprix has helped some. I'm going to try it after next visit to dermatologist. Selsom Blue helped me somewhat, but it's(SD) a recurring problem and the dog just doesn't seem to stay under the porch for whatever reasons --excess stress, diet, vit-mineral deficiencies being usual suspects.
