⇒ PP405 is a topical molecule that is able to reactivate dormant hair follicle stem cells and stimulate new hair growth. The study is carried out by researchers at UCLA. PP405 works by inhibiting the mitochondrial pyruvate carrier (MPC) to specifically reactivate the dormant hair follicle stem cells. Phase 2 trial is expected to begin in mid 2024.
