KEEP - Koray Erdogan Embedding Placer
The K.E.E. P. (Koray Erdogan Embedding Placer) device was developed by Dr. Koray Erdogan. It is an instrument that allows for maximum grafts survial and minimize grafts placement damage caused by pre-made incisions in traditional FUE procedures. The instrument is available in different sizes to accommodate varying graft size and graft condition. The instrument can undergo normal sterilization processes and is available for both left and right hand application.
In a study conducted by Dr. Koray Erdogan, it was found that hair regrowth rate was 93.4% (112 hairs) with K.E.E.P verses only 77.5% (93 hairs) using traditional FUE forceps that are commonly adopted in other clinics.
ASMED - FUE Graft Estimator
ASMED's FUE Graft Estimator is another great invention by Dr. Koray Erdogan and his team. The Graft Estimator is an iphone application that can be downloaded for free.
Graft Calculator helps control hair per graft averages while extracting grafts from different zones on the scalp (temporal, parietal and occipital) through data simultaneously input by surgical assistants as they check graft quality and hairs per graft averages during the donor follicles extraction process. The application provides valuable real time feedback that allows for the adjustment of punch size and technique according to the set homogenization plan and the targeted hairs per graft average. An added feature of the Graft Calculator is that patients can follow the number of grafts extracted and other surgical statistics during surgery on surgical room screens.
The Graft Calculator allows for the tracking of time and speed and aides pacing during extractions. It also permits the surgeon to view the statistics of each operator involved in the procedure.
FUE COVERAGE VALUE
Coverage Value is an innovative technique developed by Dr. Koray Erdogan to standardize the criteria for determining hair transplant coverage. Hair coverage is an important concnern for both the patient and the doctor. Ultimately, patients are looking for good coverage value for what they are paying. With Coverage Value, the question of hair coverage is determined by multiplying the number of hairs in a given area of the scalp by the hair’s thickness. The calculation is very accurate with the assistance of scanning robots, allowing the surgeon to respect the calculated Coverage Value as an important guide for all FUE hair transplant procedures. It is an indispensable tool in establishing a scientific relationship between donor capacity and coverage.
KE-BOT - KORAY ERDOGAN ROBOTIC SCANNING
KE-Bot is another new FUE innovation by Dr. Koray Erdogan. It is a 360-degree circular robotic scanning system that evaluates all aspects of hair transplantation through high definition imaging. The robotic scan collects 3-D scalp monitoring and data collection from every angle. This robotic scanning device allows the doctor to evaluate each patient's hair’s caliber, texture and density in the donor area as well as overall donor capacity. All this enables the doctor to collect extremely accurate extraction site calculations with potential transection rates on a patient by patient basis. Post-surgically, this robotic scan can monitor the recipient site and determine the actual number of grafts placed and the density obtained while reporting authentic transection rates in relation to the number of placed grafts.
