Christiano, PhD and colleagues found that Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors promote hair growth when directly applied to the skin in mouse and human hair follicles study. Two JAK inhibitors Ruxolitinib and Tofacitinib have already been approved by the US FDA for the treatment of blood diseases and rheumatoid arthritis respectively.
