Many former hair transplant patients are forced to live with the agonizing linear strip scars in the back of their head for the rest of their lives. While it is not life threatening, it always presents a hassle trying to cover or camouflage the scar so that it becomes unnoticeable to the public eye. Anyone who has undergone a strip hair transplant procedure can attest to that feeling. The constant need to cover one's strip scars can be very overwhelming.
While repairing strip scars can sometimes be accomplished by planting FUE grafts to the scar tissue or by performing a scar excision procedure, it is nonetheless a surgical procedure and results can be unpredictable.
Now with the invention of Scalp Micro Pigmentation SMP or Tricopigmentation technique, we have a new and viable option for those who wish to fix their strip scars from former hair transplant surgeries.
Following is video of a patient who had hair transplant surgery before.
Details -
1. He had a strip FUHT done by some plastic surgeon in 2010. He came to Dr. A's clinic for repair as the result was poor and the patient is a Norwood 6.
2. Dr. A and his team did Tricopigmentation (1 session) on the previous strip scar 2 days before this video was taken. Some small areas of the scar were deliberately left.
3. Tricopigmentation on the scar was done just 10 days after 2950 scalp FUSE/fue grafts had been extracted.
